Writing Lyrics

Today, I realized how hard it can be to be a lyricist. When trying to write lyrics for a country song, I drew a total blank. It was frustrating to realize how different writings a song is from writing poetry. I think that this is an excellent lesson for me, and I know that I now have much more respect for lyricists of all kinds.
